Short Tour of Mallorca
Optional Excursion for your guests
Mallorca Weddings has been asked to provide excursions on many occasions in the past, so new for this year will be a very special Five-Day inclusive package to add onto the wedding three days.
We can arrange this package for guests of wedding parties, including the bridal party if required. It has been specially planned to give you a genuine taste of real Mallorca in a very short space of time and is possibly the most comprehensive short tour of Mallorca possible, and should be available for clients from the summer of 2004.
To get the rates we have to have a party of at least 20.
Day 1
Excursion to the famous valley town of Valldemossa, and the Cartuja where Chopin composed several of his masterpieces. See the rooms he had, the piano he played. Sometimes we can arrange a live concert in the old Royal Chapel at no extra cost.
Sit in the Cloister square and soak up the atmosphere of this lovely town.
If you wish to buy a valuable investment, we can arrange for you to visit the studio of Mallorca's world famous artist, Coll Bardolet who, like many famous people before him, has rooms in the Cartuja... His paintings cost from £600 and appreciate rapidly.
Lunch at Valldemossa's best Mallorcan Restaurant, which serves authentic local specialities.
In the evening we take you to the famous nightspot Son Amar for an evening's cabaret and dinner.
Day 2
Spend a day like the locals do. We take you on a Mallorcan Picnic up the mountains to an ancient Sanctuary. There we have the opportunity to go for a walk with the guide, or just stroll around the picnic area and have a real siesta! Picnic is provided. And afterwards we are entertained by a Mallorcan Folk Song and Dance Troupe.
Day 3
Today we take an all-day boat trip around the island. You can see things not visible from the roads. We stop at a beach for two hours.
Day 4
A trip to Lluc. This is a 14th century monastery and the National Pilgrimage site of the Island. Islanders who marry always come here to pray for a blessing on their marriage! And when they leave the island for any length of time also. Our Lady of Lluc is the patroness of the people. Here you can have lunch in the old monks' refectory, browse in the shops and museum, or go for a walk up the 'Misteries', where there is a magnificent view from the top.
Day 5
La Granja is the most ancient place with continued habitation. Since before Roman times there have been inhabitants of this lush green area.
The reason is a 30-foot high spring which shoots out of the ground, and keeps the area verdant and fertile. The present house is an ancient manor, and has been opened to the public to show exactly how people lived in the past. It has its own pharmacy, bakery, ironmonger, winery you name it! It is completely self-contained living.
Here you can see special cakes being made, sample the baking, the wines and juices and the famous Bunyols. You can wander at leisure around the beautiful gardens, the whole house and the courtyards and shops, sampling as you go. They have a variety of exhibitions such as horsemanship and falconry. A lovely day out with lunch included.
